[edit] Editor Administrators
- The Editor Administrators are the ones that manage, and provide help to the large group of Editors on the site. Ed-Admins create the general guidelines for posting and review Editor applications. All Editors will be answerable to Editor Administrators. Ed-Admin Profiles are located just under the Admin Profiles. The Editor Administrators are:

- CypherNEUK
[edit] Editors
- Our Editors are responsible for creating the reports within the site. A Newzbin Report is simply a collection of related Usenet files that have been formatted into an easier-to-read format for the site users. Almost any member can become an Editor instead of paying for Premium Membership. If you are interested, have a look at more information on what an editor is.

[edit] Admin Profiles
| Caesium (Chris)
| Project Role | Project Lead, Developer, System Administrator |
|---|---|---|
| Responsible For | NewzDog (Site Backend), Eliza (IRCBot), Files/Post System, Hardware Maintenance | |
| Pit Located In | England, United Kingdom | |
| Chris is a late-comer to the team, but has more than proved his worth since joining - He quickly advanced the ranks to become one of the project leaders, and can now be seen coding the site and managing the server farm behind newzBin. You can also thank him for coding the foundations of the 'newzDog' backend that powers the site. Version 2 of the site would not have existed without him. | ||
| Kalante (Lee)
| Project Role | Developer |
| Responsible For | User system, Documents system, Comments system, Database design, Customer Service | |
| Pit Located In | N. Ireland, United Kingdom | |
| Lee has been with the newzBin project since the very beginning, before the site originally opened to the public. He managed to convince Steven (t7) to give him a shot at coding, and hasn't looked back since. Lee played a major role in maintaining and supporting both version 1 and version 2 of the site, and is quite likely going to stick around until the end of time. He's also an Irishman with a quirky sense of humour and a 'too nice to be true' attitude. | ||
| Freaky (Thomas)
| Project Role | Developer, System Administrator |
| Responsible For | NZB Generator, Payments System, Watchdog, Boolean Search Query Engine | |
| Pit Located In | England, United Kingdom | |
| Joining shortly after Chris, Thomas was invited into the team for his HTML and CSS skills, a militant attitude toward standards compliance, and a considerable knowledge of PHP and FreeBSD. While he was involved with much of the v2 site design and frontend PHP, he now spends most of his time developing and maintaining many backend services in C and his favourite language, Ruby. | ||
| t7 (Steven) | Project Role | Original Founder |
| Responsible For | Retired | |
| Pit Located In | United States of America | |
| Steven is the original founder of newzBin, who along with Joerg, brought the site online after the untimely demise of the old (yet not forgotten) BinNewZ.net. He was instrumental in providing help to the development team throughout the years, and has been known to dabble in design and coding (or as some say, nit-picking,) himself. Without Steven, the newzBin you know today would not exist. | ||
| jb (Joerg Battermann) | Project Role | Original Co-Founder |
| Responsible For | Retired | |
| Pit Located In | Germany | |
| Joerg was the co-founder of newzBin, and was responsible for creating the original codebase that newzBin was built upon (contrary to popular belief, newzBin was written from scratch in PHP, and not using BinNewZ.net's ASP codebase.) We cannot thank Joerg enough for the time, effort and heart that he put into all the great work that he did for newzBin, and we wish him all the best in future endeavours.
