Newzbin:V3 Watchdog
From Newzbin Documentation
Please bear in mind that Watchdog has undergone a complete rewrite from v2 - none of the original code remains.
Recall that in v2, there was a separate page to set up Watchdogs, with it's own form. This is no longer the case, other than to allow you to import your watches into mostly-equivilent Saved Searches.
Now, Watchdog is completely integrated into the Newzbin listings system, and will monitor a Saved Search that you have setup.
To set up a Saved Search, simply click the 'Search' tab at the top of every page; this takes you to the Advanced Search Form. At the bottom of this page you will see a 'Save As..' section.
After entering your search and setting up all your desired parameters and restrictions, enter a name and press Save.
You will be taken to your Saved Searches summary, which lists all the Searches you have stored.
There is more Saved Search documentation here.
One column in this table is marked 'WD', for Watchdog. By default, there will be 'X'es in this columnm, to indicate they are not monitored by Watchdog.
Simply click on them to change them to 'ticks', and from that moment on (there may be a few seconds delay while the backend syncs), we will watch out for new items that appear in that Search, and mail them to you.
Watchdog honours all your account preferences, settings, retention, filters/excludes, etc etc. So, in theory, the items you get mailed should also appear in the Search when you run it on the site.
You can also set up Searches for all areas of Newzbin; a watched Search should work fine for Reports, Usenet (raw), Condensed Mode, NZBs, and NFOs.
Watchdog currently mails you new matches every 20 minutes.
If your watch matches more than a thousand items in any 24 hour period, it will be disabled and you will be notified by email (this is partly for load purposes, partly to avoid spamming your inbox too much).
Both of these parameters may be tweaked in months to come.
